My Story

Aries passed away 2 years ago, likely from cancer. She was fat, happy, and well loved all her days with us. She is missed terribly.

Thank you for checking on her,

Aries likes playing with her pit bull brother Apollo.  She gets plenty of rest and enjoys snuggling with her humans too.  Aries has really been the most beneficial for our pit bull.  They really enjoy each other’s company and they are great at tiring each other out!  She is not as big and strong as our pit bull and my son has really enjoyed her more I think.  Sometimes he can be a bit overwhelmed by our big boy.

UPDATE FROM ARIES' NEW FAMILY - Hi All, just an update on Aries (Happy Feet) and her brother Apollo.  Aries has been with us now since the first week of January.  She has adjusted quite nicely and has really helped her brother Apollo, come out of his shell.  Apollo is an eight month old Am Staff Terrier and Aries is probably around a year.  They were about the same size when she arrived but he makes her look tiny now.  She seems to be on the smaller side.  She is petite and weighs in around 55 pounds.  She was very skinny when we first got her but she has put on the appropriate amount of weight now.  They rough house together and have fun but Aries is still a bit rough with Apollo.  He usually has a few cuts on his chin and legs.  He doesn't seem to mind but some people seem to get a little uneasy when they see a pit bull all cut up.  I explain that his sister beats him up and that usually helps.  She doesn't bother with the cats too much but she does have her days when she can't seem to leave them alone.  We took a ride to the ocean the other day and enjoyed some of our unseasonably warm weather.  Tim is looking forward to taking her running soon.  The vet said to wait until she gains some weight and is about a year old to promote proper joint development.  She's probably ready any time now so he will have to find out if it’s something she likes or not.  Anyway, life is good…2 cats, 2 dogs and 2 boys (Tim and Evan, their human brother, age 10).  Soon the weather will be awesome and we can move the mayhem outside.  Take care all, ~Jen

Hi everyone! Happy Feet here in NJ!  I want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season!!!  I am having a wonderful time learning all there is to know about living in a loving family!  I LOVE my human foster brother, maybe I can have one of those at your house too?  I would really like that! I love my foster mom too and give lots of kisses all the time.

I LOVE running in the back yard so I hope you have one of those for me to romp and play in.  I race around and do the boxer burn and get all my energy out!  I can't play with the other dogs yet because I have some kennel cough but foster mom says that soon I can.  I would love, love, love that!!

So, keep your eye on me!  I'll be ready to go home after Christmas and I am looking forward to meeting you!  Love, Happy Feet!!!

Happy Feet is a little 8 month old boxer puppy who came into New Life Boxer Rescue yesterday.  She was a stray to the Philadelphia shelter.  Happy Feet is a happy-go-lucky, very sweet boxer girl who is madly in love with her foster brother Ryan and spent last night curled up on his couch sound asleep with him.

Further updates to come as we get to know this little sweetheart better.
