Eva Marie (FKA Freva)

She is a very happy girl … loves to be around people!  Greets everyone with  out-of-control tail wagging and lots of licking! She gets along extremely well with our other boxer, Lincoln, and they are really the best of friends.  She is still a little bit wary of other dogs and doesn’t like to be the first one to greet them, likes Lincoln to go first and see what their story is!! 

She loves to ride in the car and go for walks … so, no problems in the car or on the leash.  The two things we are still working on are her listening when called, and her “over attention” to smaller dogs.  She knows I’m calling her but sometimes the thrill of chasing the deer into the woods is waayyy too much fun!  And her reaction to smaller dogs/animals isn’t aggressive, it’s more of a “bully” or “dominate” posture.  Has never picked a fight or had any scraps with other dogs, it’s just her attitude, I guess.  We are working on both  of these, almost every day.  The smaller animal issue is easy since we have a rescued cat, and she doesn’t take any “crap” from either dog!!!

She is definitely my dog …. No matter where I go, whether it’s inside or out … she’s right behind me!  Sometimes, too close behind me since I’ve stepped on her a couple of times!!  She eats well, plays with her toys and loves to lay in the sun, so all is good.  We are very lucky to have her and I think Lincoln agrees!

We are completely in love with Eva...she is adorable, well behaved, smart  and fits in with our lives so perfectly!!  It's really amazing to watch her learn.  She really processes what she thinks she should be doing vs. what she really wants to do!!  Her one vice, that she just can't control herself with, is following the cat!!  I think she's just waiting for the cat to run so that she can chase her!!  The cat returns the favor by hiding behind corners, waiting for her and Lincoln to walk past, then jumps out and scares them!!  Very funny!

Eva and Lincoln are the best of friends... they play with each other at least a couple times a day ... along with running and chasing each other every time they're outside.  She loves her toys, prances thru the house with one in her mouth, head held high!! I am so happy to have her with us, in her forever home with her forever brother!!

Eva is doing better each day.. she is so very sweet.  I have taken her to our vet. since I really wanted our vet to meet her, and all is well.  She could do with a little more meat on her bones as she has lost 3 pounds since an April vet. visit by her surrendering mom.  We will work on that over the next few weeks.  Her and Lincoln (75 Lb fawn male boxer, 4 years old) are very good friends and they spend their time following me from room to room!  Love it.  She is becoming more confident and will pick up toys and egg im on to play .. starting to feel her oats a little bit.  Very good to see.  

She is wonderful and soooo sweet!  She gets along with Lincoln, who is 4, like they have been together for years!  Lots of keep-away and tug-of-war, and she is so much faster than him that it's funny to watch!  We feel our family is now complete!  Thank you Patricia, Greta and Joie!!!!
