Harmony's Story: Harmony was found by a passerby after seeing her sitting in a cow pasture for days waiting for her family to come back for her. She was brought to the shelter, was not claimed and when Nancy pulled her for us, Harmony was extremely overweight and heartworm positive. Due to her HW status the vet would not spay or do the heartworm procedure till she lost 20 lbs! We all know how difficult that is to cut our dogs weight! She was put on special food and Harmony had to do a light exercise program to drop the pounds. Finally, she was spayed and went thru the HW treatments. She is now ready to be transported to NLBR so we are looking for her furvever home.
Heather, (her caregiver) said that Harmony is a very happy girl, she does not like loud noises, is good with dogs but is stand offish until she feels comfortable, she has a lot of energy, she loves attention and can be vocal when she wants it, and... is a big cuddle bug!
