My Story

06/01/2015

All is good here. Pearl is a perfect little puppy.  She is sugary sweet and a complete love bug.  She is loving the warm weather and spends her day alternating between soaking up the sun and cooling off in the shade....with a couple of energetic games of "keep away" thrown in. Here's a shot of her sitting at my feet right now:)

Pearl is wonderful.  She is a love and a true member of our family.

Pearl is such a love.  She welcomes long hugs and lots of kisses.  She quickly got into her routine here and knows everyone's schedules.  She waits patiently on the couch in front of the window for us to return and greats us with a wagging nub when we come in.  Family, friends and neighbors alike all marvel at what a wonderful dog she is.  She has brought such wonderful love and cuddles into our lives.

I LOVE this little girl!  She is just the sweetest, calmest, most cooperative little thing ever!
Pearlie-Q as I call her came to me about 8 weeks ago with her litter of babies.  She gave birth at a veterinarian's office and although she delivered part of the litter naturally, she required a c-section to successfully deliver the remaining pups.  All are well and happy now and ready for their new homes very soon.
Pearl needs a few weeks after her puppies go home to recover and regain her girlish figure.  Although the pups are all weaned now, puppies at this age will continue to attempt to nurse as long as mom is present.  So, once they are gone, Pearl will need some time to just be Pearl :)
Pearl has been an excellent mom and has taught her little ones all that they need to know to venture out into the big world full of new experiences.  I will miss them and I am sure she will too but I have a feeling that this little girl is just waiting for the time when she can run and play without the hoard trailing along behind her.
Pearl is house-trained and crate-trained and very well behaved in the house.  She likes to be out of doors but she isn't crazy about the rain, like most boxers.  On rainy days, she goes out and can barely wait to come back in out of the wet!
This is a delightful little girl who will make you smile every day!
