My Story

07/23/2014

Hard to believe two years have gone by already.  I just wanted to send you a quick email letting you know Cooper is doing great and so happy he is a part of our lives!  I have been crazy busy at work but in the next week or two will send you a detailed update with pictures!

Cooper turns himself inside out when we get home whether we have been gone all day at work or just ran to the market and back, it is just a wonderful feeling to think we were given the opportunity to give him a safe and loving home.

Foster Mommy gave me that bath I mentioned... I was a bit nervous but I did okay.  She said my "socks" would be much prettier when they were white and she was right!
We also went in Foster Daddy's big noisy truck.  It used to scare me but this weekend I was in it for a total of 4 hours and I was such a good boy, of course I did have my foster sissy for company.  When we arrived in the mountains it was a dream come true!  No fences, no leashes just me being a good ol' charming boy!  EVERYBODY loves me so much!  I even got along with Roscoe an older male German Short Haired Pointer who FM says did not like the boxer before me!  The 3 Beagles loved me too!  Cora and I had so much fun that when it was time to get in the truck to come back home I didn't want to.  I was even fetching sticks (although I don't really like toys much).

Hi y'all!!!  I'm fitting right in here with my foster family.  We had a lot of people visit on Saturday and I was the center of attention, which Foster Mommy says I like but she's wrong - I LOVE IT!  I love being told how handsome and cute I am and it's really helping me to come out of my shell, whatever that means???  I was playing with a 3-year-old boy who was so nice to me!  There was a bigger boy too that even got me to play fetch like my K-9 sissy Cora!  I now not only know how to "come" but I have mastered "sit" as well - which often times gets me a cookie!  Cora got a bath today and FM says mine is tomorrow morning.  Cora seemed to like it so I think I'll give it a try.  I'll let you know how it goes!

This beautiful, bright and shining star of a boy came to us a week ago.  He is pretty, yes I said it!  PRETTY markings, I would call them perfect for a fawn and white Boxer!  He is sweet and lovable.  WARNING: A HUGE FAN OF KISSING!!!  So if you don’t care for that; well, don't get a boxer - LOL!  He is PERFECTLY HOUSE TRAINED!   He does not quite understand STAY OR DOWN yet but we are working on that.   He gets along well with Cora, our German Short Haired Pointer who is way too hyper for him!  He also liked a Cairn Terrier that he met the other night.  He's very, very smart!  Once he is truly settled in, he says he wants to take over my story, so watch for more soon!  He'll be meeting lots of people the next few days!
