My Story

09/18/2020

I’m always happy to update on Gypsy. Desiree and I say she went full circle making it back to us, but she will agree it was the best decision ever.

She is 100% mommas girl and if I’m in a room you can bet she’s with me. I joke about changing her name to Miss Licksalot because she licks more than any dog I’ve ever had. She doesn’t believe the other dogs should get my attention and the world revolves around her.

She gets along great with the other dogs and is finally getting to where she is trying to play with them. She is also starting to play with toys too. She spends most of her days in the office with me while I work. I’m not even allowed to go potty without her when my husband is at work.

She is putting one weight finally. We feed our dogs once a day when I get off work, but after they go outside in the mornings they get their bones. She doesn’t understand why she gets hers last but it’s because she eats them so quick she will try to get the others so I bring her so she’s by me and I can pet her while she finishes.

For some reason her ‘safe place’ is the kennel  and that is where she chooses to sleep. She doesn’t get on the bed with the others but sleeps all night in the kennel (with the door open). She was having accidents at night but now will come wake me up to go outside between 1-5 in the morning.

She had her spot on the couch and if another dog is in, well she’ll squeeze her way in to make them move. It doesn’t matter if they’re bigger or smaller than her

Christine, a foster in Texas, decided that after sending Gypsy to her foster home here, could not live with out her. Therefore, Christine will be arriving tonight to adopt her!  Can't wait to see the reunion!!
