My Story

01/12/2013

It has been just over 2 years since New Life Boxer Rescue was founded and I thought it would be a good time to send a picture of our first...this is STELLA!  This picture was taken today - NLBR'S first officially adopted dog!!!  She went to a friend of mine who ended up adopting a second dog from NLBR...Everything happens for a reason and no one is happier NLBR was formed than our little Stella!  So, thank you from Stella and her family for saving this baby and many more over the last 2 years!

I found my forever home today!

Stella is absolutely the perfect Boxer.  Very affectionate, great spunk, plays well with the other girls if they want to play, and comes when called.  For a little girl, she has a bottomless pit for a stomach.  Stella can eat 24/7!  She has visited 2 different homes, both with dogs....nothing!  She just went about her business looking for food!  I'm going to stop here because she has no faults other than begging for food but a strict routine and plenty of food at meal time will fix that.  Stella is a CAN'T MISS!

Thanks a lot Madame Director!  Thank you very much!  The minute we walked into  the house, and the wiggles and kissing started, ALL I heard was "can we keep  her. can we.....huh, can we.....pleeeeeeeeese"!  Now look what you've done.  You  did this on purpose didn't you?  You did the Trick and gave us the Treat as  well!       Stella is just a peanut, about 40 lbs I would say.  Sweet temperament, no people  or dog aggression, and a bottomless pit for a stomach.  She blended right in as  if she had lived here before.  She had another supper before she came to bed  with us and was a little antsy but I think it was from spending so many weeks in  a kennel and the all day ride.  After she settled down she slept through the  night without getting up once.  No accidents and I'm willing to bet I could take  her out off leash and she wouldn't leave my side.  She is the perfect Boxer lap  dog!  No jumping, has manners and knows basic commands and comes when you call  her.  She does think she's a counter surfer but isn't quite tall enough.
