Willie is doing fine and such a sweet love bug boy! He has grown like a weed and is now taller than his six year old sister. Willie had a heart murmur when he was born and I was told that he no longer had it, but two vets have confirmed that he does indeed have a heart murmur although it is a slight one. When I adopted Willie he had hook worms and had already been treated for them. However, he has had them ongoing and has been treated several times again? Taking another fecal sample in the first of the week to confirm he is rid of them. Willie has been neutered, tested for heartworm (negative), is on heartworm meds and flea/tick preventative. Other than that, Willie is healthy, happy, loves his walks on the beach and playing with balls and with his sister Meena. Willie is a very smart, food motivated boy! My daughter calls him "Slick Willie" as he is very clever. We had to have a new fence installed as he figured out how to get over or through the old one. So after spending thousands (we have a large area to fence) to put up a new chain link fence, Mr. Willie figured out a way to get the gate open by throwing himself against it so the closure would spring open. Now it has a chain around the post and a lock. So far so good! We are working on his barking as every time a car or person goes by, he barks. He is getting better about it. All in all a very good boy and very much loved.
